 • ADVENTUROUS VALENTINE’S DINNERS •

SNOWED INN SLEIGH COMPANY
Keen to experience that quintessential winter wonderland? Then, cozy up in an old-fashioned, horse-drawn sleigh as it takes you across the shimmering night slopes of Park City Mountain and up to the Snowed Inn. After a brisk ride (about 10 mins), you’ll enter a rustic lodge with a blazing fireplace and festive atmosphere. Enjoy the live music as you tuck into delicious western dishes, such as slow-roasted prime rib and Utah trout. Both vegetarian and kids’ menu options are available upon request. Even if the sleigh ride is short, make sure to bundle up because it gets chilly out there at night! Get all the details and make your reservations here.

VIKING YURT
Fueled by a slightly different kind of horse-power, the 23-minute snowcat sleigh ride up begins the magical Nordic-themed culinary adventure at the Viking Yurt. Upon entering the toasty warm yurt (located at 8,700 feet), you’ll be greeted by the sounds of piano and sweet fragrance of holiday spice. Capped at 40-people with communal dining arrangements, the intimate six-course dinner features a stellar lobster and salmon bisque, cheese course, braised rib, and more (vegetarian / vegan / food allergies available at booking). For a fun photo op, try on the Viking helmets and sip Gløgg from large goblets. Again, make sure you dress in layers to stay warm for the outdoor part of the adventure! For more information and to make your reservation, visit the Viking Yurt website.

FIRESIDE DINING
For a romantic evening and cheesy goodness with every bite of food, Deer Valley’s FiresideDiningis a must for winter visitors to Park City. Inspired by Europe and the Alps, Fireside Dining features sumptuous fare served right from the hearth, meaning diners wander from fireplace to fireplace loading their plates with everything from roasted lamb leg, to pickled veggies, and, of course, raclette. While it isn’t a must, we certainly recommend you make the night an adventure by adding a horse-drawn sleigh ride or a snowshoe hike as part of your booking. Reservations are required and can be made via the Deer Valley website.

RIME RAW BAR
Utah might be landlocked, but you can still enjoy the fruits of the sea while skiing Deer Valley thanks to Rime Raw Bar, one of the newest restaurants on the Park City dining scene. Situated at the top of the Jordanelle Gondola, Rime is the first ski-in/ski-out raw bar and serves up oysters, clam chowder, lobster rolls, and more. While beer and wine are available, the best thing about Rime is the $2.50 oysters during happy hour (2-3 p.m.). Rime Raw Bar is open Thursday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Note to sea-foodies on foot: Lift tickets for the Jordanelle Gondola are $20 and must be purchased via Deer Valley Resort.

• 3 AMAZING PLACES TO APRÈS-SKI  •
ST REGIS DEER VALLEY
Grab a Bloody Mary at St. Regis Deer Valley Bar. Every St. Regis hotel has its own spin on the classic – and Park City’s is as lavish as you’d expect: local oat-distilled Vodka 7000, a house-made Bloody Mary mix, and wasabi-celery foam. If you are bopping in around 3pm, go straight to the lobby for a decadent hot chocolate. You can top your cocoa with freshly made whipped cream, chocolate shavings, even toffee. And if you’re more apt to stay on the slopes till sundown, head to the hotel’s Mountain Terrace. Fire-side Adirondack chairs provide the perfect respite for aching legs. Plus there’s a nightly 5:30pm champagne sabering ritual, so you can pair some effervescence with s’mores.

NO NAME SALOON
Get your fill of Utah’s untracked powder, then head to Park City’s most raucous local bar, No Name SaloonYou can marinate in some local craft draft beer and whiskey, then soak it all up with the saloon’s famed buffalo burger. The walls are packed with rugby team portraits, taxidermy, outboard motors, and sleds that lend some authentic, rustic charm to the watering hole. One thing’s for sure, you’re in for a rip-roaring good time you might not remember.

HIGH WEST DISTILLERY
Opt for a tour or a pour of rye, bourbon, or other limited-release spirits in the contemporary tasting room in Wanship, UT. Or mosey on over to the rustic Saloon for a grilled pork tomahawk and wet your whistle with the specialty cocktail Dead Man’s Boots in the Park City saloon. High West Distillery and Saloon is just a stone’s throw away from the bottom of Quittin’ Time ski run at Park City Mountain Resort, making it the world’s first (and only, so far) ski-in, ski-out distillery in the U.S. Consider saving this for the end of your ski day, though; you might ski in, but odds are good you’ll stagger out.
